Work and Learn Indiana

Work and Learn Indiana is a program of the Institute for Workforce Excellence, a nonprofit subsidiary of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The goal of Work and Learn Indiana is to create or expand high-quality experiential opportunities, such as internships and apprenticeships, and retain Hoosier talent. Even if you aren’t ready yet for an internship or apprenticeship, you might want to take a peek at www.workandlearnindiana.com The site includes a searchable database of employers and candidates.

Heartland Career Center

Heartland Career Center is specifically designed to assist students with honing their job search skills, identifying and working toward career goals, finding suitable careers or graduate school programs, getting referrals to employers, and boosting networking skills. We help guide students into majors or careers they may not be familiar with, then help formulate a plan to achieve those goals. We are here to help you reach your goals.

East Allen Career Center

The Career Center has seven distinct career programs. These programs have been selected and designed specifically to prepare students for the jobs available in Northeast Indiana. Students get hands-on experience in a variety of fields including health care, manufacturing, technology, construction trades, criminal justice and education. All of the programs will lead to industry certifications and dual college credits, preparing students for immediate workforce entry or continuing education.

Boys and Girls Club of America

To help young people meet the workforce challenges of tomorrow, they need safe spaces, positive mentorship and work experiences today. At Boys & Girls Clubs, we allow kids and teens to: explore their interests and passions, develop their employability skills, and apply their knowledge to real-world work experiences. Multiple programs based on age, interest, and understanding.

WorkLearn Indiana

Work and Learn Indiana is a FREE work-based learning matching marketplace connecting Indiana employers, anyone seeking a work-based learning experience, high schools, colleges and universities. We help Indiana employers and community partners develop and retain Hoosier talent through relevant work-and-learn experiences that drive a highly skilled and equitable workforce.

J Kruse Education

During and after-school programming created to help students discover the career they are passionate about. Has internships/job shadow, and coaching capabilities.
